Choose A Gift In Hamleys

Max signed up for some sort of soccer competition over the weekend.. and so he suggested that he dropped us off at Dubai Mall and go ahead for his soccer game.

I was a little sian because it meant I had to spend 3.5 hours with Ace alone in Dubai Mall.. how to do tat without feeling very bored man!?

And then as if my prayers were heard... we stepped into Hamley's and found tat they are holding a My Santa Wish List contest. You picked 3 items no more than 150 dirhams that you wanted inside Hamley's and 100 children will receive an item of their desire.

Our good friend proceeded to spend 2.5 hours there just choosing what he wants to write!:) wahahahaha...

Initially, Ace had problems because all the things he wanted were expensive and more than 150 dirhams in price. We spent the first half and hour eliminating possibilities:) wahahahaha...

And then he slowly warmed up to it and started to look at things tat are within that price range...

Those that he is interested, I was tasked to take picture of them so that he can remember and choose later...

Search for 2.5 hours.. only found 4 things ... hahahah :) In the end, he chose three (he said dun choose app blaster cos he dun have iphone) and filled in the letter ...

Posting to Santa!

With another hour left to kill, we went to our favourite part of the mall- Virgin Mega Store.. hahaha :)

Can you tell what this might be???

It's a bottle opener!

Saw lots of funny stuff :)

Ace discovered no one was at the kinect section and spent another 20 min playing kinect there...

But all visits to Virgin will always end at the iPad counter :) wahahaha...

We found this really funny game called Salon 2 that allows you style and cut the hair of the model you choose...

So we had a competition to see who can do a better Dumb And Dumber hair.. wahahaha...

My entry...

Ace's entry :)

Then it was about time to go.. as we were waiting for Max, we found that Cartier was having an exhibition...  These watches looked very interesting.. so i took some photos...

Ace refused to allow me to take this photo.. hahahaha.. but i did it anyway.. cos the watch design is a TORTOISE... andhe knows who I am going to associate this with!:)

That is Dubai and her development over the past 42 .. amazing feat!

Then we went supermarket shopping at the chinese supermart when Max arrived... and I saw my fav JGS on a bottle!

After that, dunno wehre to go.. so headed off for dinner and supermarket shopping again.. and this time round, as part of the UAE National Day celebrations we saw someone display their pet falcon.... Falconry is big in the UAE and the middle east. You can even see people put the birds on their hands and board planes. I am always fascinated and wondered what it is all about..

Notice tat the covered the eyes of the falcon? I think it is so that the falcon will snooze thinking that it is night time and dun feel compelled to attack people.

All in all, it turned out to be quite a good day :)
