It's Too Difficult!

Went to pick Ace today as he has guitar lessons. While we were on our way to guitar class, I asked him how was his day in school and Ace said it was a super bad day today cos he kenna from his math teacher.

According to Ace, he has been placed in a seat beside this boy who likes to talk and do things to distract him. So our good friend is irritated and keeps asking the boy to "stop talking" only to come to a conclusion that if you can't stop them, join them! ;) So he started talking.

When he told me about this supposedly distracting boy yesterday, I already told him HE is the one who decides if he will be disturbed and so he can take it as a chance to practice his skills of concentration.

Today, that boy brought a toy to school and on top of talking , the boy kept using the toy to disturb him. "So I was very distracted..." Ace said. Sigh.... still blaming others man..

Then leh, because the boy kept trying to use the toy to disturb Ace, Ace kept turning to ask him to stop lah.. this and that.. end up, he did not catch the instruction he was given for his math homework...So he was left with this one sum that he cannot complete.

"I can help you later at home.." I told Ace...

"But it is too difficult, it is impossible.. It is very difficult, it cannot be done..." Ace started to become very agitated...

I asked Ace to calm down lah... If i dunno i can ask my friends mah.. P4 work leh.. how difficult can it be right...

When we reached home, Ace took out the "VERY DIFFICULT" math sum to show me. Wah lau.. turns out our good friend never read instruction carefully and made some wrong assumptions.. tat is why cannot do lah...

I reminded Ace that in future, when he is faced with a problem, he needs to stop thinking "It iust too difficult..." cos that phrase is like a closed door that prevents new inspiration from coming in.

So the next time he meets a problem, he should close his eyes, take a deep breath and take out these words and put them aside and then chant to gohonzon for an inspiration... tat will help him find a solution:)

Hope he remembers my words next time he meets a challenge..
