The Simpsons Lego Collectables

Some time back, I saw that my friend has collected some Lego Figurines in Simpson designs.. but I didn't show or tell Ace:) wahahaha.. in case he asked me to buy!

The other day while we were walking around in Borders, he discovered them on his own! And then I remembered that my friend often tells me about how you can "feel" the packets for the figurine that you want.

So leh, Ace was excited. But he looked at his wallet and found out that he only has enough money to buy ONE figurine.. so he decided to aim for his favourite- Bart... and he stand there and feel and feel...

Max wanted to aim for a Homer and he also stand there and feel and feel...

Another young girl joined us and the Borders staff just looked on with an amused staff..

I really dunno how my friend did it! It was so difficult lor! Every packet feels the same to me! They all seemed like the same thing! The only one I feel is very obvious is Marge because she has a huge head of hair:) wahahaha

Then Max says he feels like this one has a rounded head and should be Homer and he decided to pay for it and buy it.

Alas, it was just Mr Burns:) wahahahahaa...

Ace leh, stood there for a long long time and feel and feel... he stand there for so long until the Borders staff ( a sweet looking jie jie) asked him what he wanted and helped him feel:) wahahaha...

She said Bart came with a board.. so you have to feel the board with two hooks... and she found it and passed to Ace.. so Ace just went to pay money..

Ace was so happy to get BART! His face so happy like tok toto like tat!:)

That made Ace really excited to do chores.. all he wanted to do is to do chores and save up money to buy more figurines!:) wahahahaa

Max says he wants to aim for Homer next and Ace couldnt really decide what he wanted to get. But still, he worked hard to save up so that he can buy one more the following week.

I went to my friend who has collected and asked her for some tips about "feeling". She said that you have to look out for the differences.. whether they have separate feet, what items they have with them and also the head.. you look out for one and confirm later by feeling the other parts...

It was really good advice because after that, it got much easier:)  After I told Ace about it.. he got quite good at feeling for the various characters:)

Following week, we went to another shopping mall and Max after feelnig for some time, felt this "remote control" thing and we were quite sure it is Homer.. and true enough.. it is!:) wahahaha

Ace said he wanted the bully.. and then I found Lisa and Maggie and even Krusty but he decided in the end that he wanted the Chief police officer... And shortly after he decided, he found it! Wasnt too difficult since the policeman had a flat hat and a loudhailer of a specific shape..

So father and son are very happy :)

Then leh, Ace realized he can polosoh his dad to buy on his behalf.. so instead of working on chores, he worked on persuading his dad to buy new figurines by asking his dad somewhat not so innocently, "Daddy, which one do you like next?"

That week, he brought his figurines out when we went out for lunch and bugged his dad and his dad said he wanted Krusty next.. and so two of them went to feel feel feel at the Borders in the mall and again, Ace found Krusty in a relatively short time!:)

Just yesterday, even though daddy said he is not going to pay anymore for any figurines, it is so fun and such a cheap thrill that he gave in in the end and asked Ace to look for Maggie.. and not bad leh, Ace again found within 5 min :) whahaahaha

Ace says he wants to collect all 16... as we go along, should get easier bah.. now tat we are sort of experienced.. just tat dunno whether the shop assistants will see us and go, "Not this family again!" wahahahahahaah...
