To The Malls We Go!

The other day, Max asked if I wanted to go with him for his soccer game.. he says he can drop us off at the Emirates Mall and he can pick us up later. But because Ace brought the Barnaby Bear home, we decided to go along with Max and just find a place to hold our meeting to discuss what to do for the project.... and then we will all go to the mall together for dinner after that...

Anyway, it was a beautiful night... we were driving along the highway and all the buildings looked so beautiful against the red sky... tat is the thing about dubai.. their evenings always look so lovely:)

Anyway, I was not feeling so well that day (I caught a cold) and so got the chance to wear my Stella Mc Carteny jacket.. hehehehe.. swee boh:) (Btw: I asked Ace to take this picture for me.. his skills not bad hor..)

Of course after the cam whoring, we spent like 30 minutes in discussion and once done, we watched Big Daddy at the lounge where we were waiting for Max.... Halfway through, a group of arabic boys came into the lounge and my, were they loud! They talked so loud they sounded like they were quarreling. Ace was so disturbed by their loud voices he told me he wanted to go home NOW. Thankfully, after a few minutes of bantering, they left and me and Ace can breathe normally in peace again...

After tat, we drove to Mall of Emirates to have our dinner and after dinner, we just walked around for fun lah.. since it was weekend anyway... saw something interesting... this lego set is there so that people can test out the cameras and zoom in to take pics...

Max trying out with some sony cam.. I took a pic with my iphone to show him tat my iphone also NOT BAD leh..wahahaha.. but of cos if it comes to close up detail.. not as good as his high end camera lah... after all, an iphone is predominantly a PHONE:)

And we walked past this booth tat was selling some nivea cream for men.. we let Ace pose for a pic and Max was required to post for a pic too as it was some marketing thingy and they cant have CHILDREN or WOMEN posing all the time.. they had to collect proof tat they also got zoh gang...

Anyway, I told Max tat my iphone screen protector got like 3 holes lor... feel very xian... so we tried to find like a small booth tat will sell screen protector and found one. i changed a new screen protector.. and this time i chose anti glossy surface.. best decision of my life.. it was only like $6.50sing (cheaper than te $10 i paid in sgp) and it looks good.. I feel as if i have a new phone! And Ah Yee said tat when she went to SH, she bought me a new iphone cover.. so when i get it.. it means I will have a NEW PHONE! yeah!!!! (ok, or as good as a new phone.. waahaha)

And given that Ace's favourite hobby is to go SHOPPING, the next day, he requested that we bring him to another big mall... Mirdiff City Centre...

I took this pic for Ace thinking he wanted to make a dream board but he said he was just posing for fun.. chey!

Then we went to Borders... and we secretly took pics of the receipe books of nice veg receipes we like.. wahahahahha:)

We walked past this children's workshop thingy and found tat it cost about the same amt as going to Kidzania.. i looked inside and it seems to be more suitable for younger children.. i would rather let Ace got to kidzania:)

Wahahah.. this is a cut out lah.. you realy think Ace is FLYING in iFLY dubai meh??:P

In Mirdiff, we CANNOT miss out our favourite shop.. Decathelone:) Father and son playing basketball together..

Ace super happy that he managed to throw the ball into the hoop...

I think though that Ace is not very co-ordinated. No matter how Max tries to explain to him, he doesnt really understand how to throw the ball.... what to do.. Max married the most unsporty person on earth and so his so inherit the mother's genes lor... that being said, I was despite that, first runner up in the badminton tournament in Bedok Primary School in 86 and I was member of a softball team in primary school and we were national champion:) I also was part of the Anglican High School badminton team for a few mths.. wahahahaha:)

Anyway, we noticed this really strange grp of arabs gathering and playing ping pong.. really amusing to watch them play in their long white robes and they were all so happy playing they were like excited litte children. We found out later from the staff it is because the shop holds weekly tournaments for them... i wish sgp had shops like these.. so fun:)

THen as usual, have to go supermart shopping.. saw mushrooms almost as big as my palm so have to take picture.. hahaha

After tat, at Ace's insistence, we went to Hemley's.. where Ace met a BULLY.. (I will talk about it in the next post) and after tat, we decided to have a good rest, eat a cake and drink a nice drink...

We found that the carrot cake and the coffee drinks in costa are not bad at all! At least better than coffee bean... wah lau, when we went ot coffee bean in dubai, the drinks were all so sweet we wanted to vomit!

Anyway, tat put a beautiful ending to a wonderful outing...

PS: Ace managed to buy a pull over for school as it has turned winter and also a new pair of sandals too.. thank god my son is not particular about brands or cost... he had wanted a pair tat cost more.. but when he tried it down on this "course" tat allows you to test your shoe, the expensive shoes slid down the "slope" part of the course... so he figured by himself that the cheaper pair (which is like half the price of the expensive pair) is BETTER.. wahahaha.. save money! wahahahaha...
